Work: Media
I enjoy creating innovative media strategies to bring attention to the work of good people, often artists and non-profit organizations. With an honest assessment of resources I make recommendations for effectively delivering the right audience to clients. Solutions include interactive media, press outreach, event planning and project management.
In the interactive field, my work involves strategy, planning, creation and rebuilding of websites. I believe in building sites with scalable and robust content management systems, so clients can update their own sites. Here are a few of my projects:

Deitch Projects
Press Consulting

Recommendations for the event were placed in a large number of publications, including the New York Times.

I oversee all aspects of press from media campaign planning and execution, to event planning. I liaise with members of the print, television and online media, securing three pieces in the New York Times in 2008
I manage relationships with authorities such as police and Coast Guard and secure event permits. In the summer of 2008 I scouted and secured locations & community hosts for three week art performance tour on the Hudson River “Swimming Cities of Switchback Sea” www.switchbacksea.org
In 2009 I am collaborating with The Coup to create a website for SWOON’s latest installation: a sculptural raft float from Slovenia to Venice, Italy across the Adriatic Sea. I am managing external relations and logistics for this project. See www.swimmingcities.org to learn more.

I provided content for “e-appeals” and hired and directed a solid Web Team for the redevelopment of the site, bringing a savings of 83.5% to the organization’s annual web maintenance costs. Site design, drupal customization and consituent relationship management implementation were executed by Floatleft and Vernal Creative.
